Tamarind Onion White Fish

If you look at your proteins and think, “How can I accessorize them?” vs. “How can I cover them up?” That’s when you will get the best dish!

Think about it!  How many times have you eaten chicken or fish or meat in your life? Even vegetables? Billions of times!  So that basically means that everything you have eaten is really like an LBD: Little Black Dress.  RIGHT?

The beauty of the perfect LBD is that you can accessorize it and make it look and feel new without covering it up or feeling like you have to wear that OLD THING AGAIN!

I knew I wanted to make fish MY LBD this past Friday.  I wanted to give it new light, while working with a new flavor.

Behold: Tamarind!!!!


  • White Fish
  • Sweet onion
  • lemon
  • garlic
  • ginger powder
  • tamarind paste
  • olive oil
  • optional smoked paprika



  • Squeeze fresh lemon over your pieces of white fish.   Lay those pieces in a baking dish that is coated with a thin layer of  extra virgin olive oil.

    Chop up onion small.  Saute it in Extra virgin olive oil, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp of ginger powder, and 1-2 tbsp of Tamarind paste.

  • IMG_6950.JPGOnce The onions are soft and Caramelized, place on top of each piece of fish.  Sprinkle with a little smoked paprika.


  • Bake at 350 for about 15-17 Mins Depending on how many pieces of fish you have.
