The title says it all! When you feel like you need something slightly sweet, slightly carbolicious and slightly chocolaty, this is the perfect platform!
I think this will be my last plantain based recipe for a while. I had to do this last one! I made a vanilla cream to put in the center. However, I honestly think this would be even better to use as the top and bottom for either pb&j or almond butter and jelly. What a great thing to use to make your kid’s almond butter and jelly sandwiches!
- 2 slightly green plantains
- 1/3 cup almond or cashew flour
- 1/3 cup -1/2 cup dates depending on your need for sweet
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1/3 cup avocado oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- t tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp maca powder
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup nut milk
- Spread onto a parchment paper covered cookie sheet and bake on 350 for about 18-20 minutes.
